So right now I’m recovering from Thanksgiving #1 at my Mom’s house last night. We’ve been doing Thanksgiving with my family on Wednesdays for about 8 years; ever since I had a job at the airport and worked Thanksgiving day. It actually works out great for the family, because we don’t have to rush off to spend time at our spouses family.
So being that it’s Thanksgiving, I thought I’d share a few things I’m thankful for this year.
1. My family – Even though they can drive me bat shit crazy, I do love my family. No matter what, they’ll always have my back.
2. Good Health – I’m healthy, my husband is healthy, and more importantly Charlotte is healthy.
3. Running – I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I can’t believe I get to do this, that I can do this.
4. A job I like / love – I don’t necessarily love my job, but I enjoy it and I like my managers and co-workers. I’ve been with my current company for almost five years and can see myself here for another five or more.
I’m just plain happy with my current lot in life and for that I’m thankful.
Thanksgiving #2 is later today. In preparation, I took up Salt’s challenge to “Run for Pie”. Unfortunately, I did not have a printer and could not print out this awesome bib to wear.
I got my run in on the treadmill this morning and now I’m ready for some pie.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!! Hope you are having (or had) a wonderful time with family & friends!
